Five from AA
- Sturgis Brown improves to 8-2 with a win over Spearfish
- RC Stevens hosts Roosevelt and beats them in a close game by five.
- Huron over Watertown by 17.
- Douglas falls by seven to Little Wound.
- SF O’Gorman defeats RC Central by 28.
Five from Class A
- SF Christian and Madison is the game of the night and we like the Chargers to get the victory in overtime 65-62.
- Dakota Valley vs Tri-Valley. Both really need a win against a solid opponent and our pick is the home team Dakota Valley.
- Sisseton knocks off Redfield/Dolan by 14 points.
- Clark/Willow Lake goes on the road and wins by 11 at Webster Area.
- Beresford and Canton are both 5-6 on the season and have nearly identical resumes. Both have lost three of four but Beresford gets the home win.
Top Five Class B games
- The game of the night has Castlewood facing Langford Area but Langford is the home team and they should get the win by a strong 22.
- Timber Lake is the home underdog when they welcome Lemmon to their place this evening and this will be the upset!
- Irene-Wakonda keeps their run going with a win against traveling Crofton from Nebraska.
- Aberdeen Christian travels to Faulkton Area and we think they get the upset road victory.
- A huge District 5 battle will be played between Arlington and Lake Preston resulting in Lake Preston victory.
Hanson Classic
Platte-Geddes is 3-4 but their schedule has been excessively tough. They are 3-4 but by tomorrow they should be 5-4 with back to back wins against Lennox and Hanson.
Parkston has lost five of six and those games haven’t been close. White River is 7-3 and should win by 15.
Tri-Valley and Winner in what will be a tight game through three quarters and then Tri-Valley gets the double figure win.
Wolsey-Wessington is undefeated and working for number one. Chester Area was our preseason number one. Is this the big win Chester Area has been looking for? Well, they are 6-0 against teams with losing records (bad losing records by the way) and 0-5 against teams that have winning records (some of the state’s best). The resume says Chester falls.
Love the Tea Area vs Aberdeen Roncalli game. A couple contenders that want to be listed as one of the class favorites. Roncalli has only played one ranked team and they lost to St. Thomas More by eight. Tea Area is our gut feel.
The number one ranked Huskies get another chance to prove they are the best against Warner. Bridgewater-Emery has faced a tough schedule and has beaten everyone. They hold their top spot with a win over Warner.
Sioux Valley vs St. Thomas More is the main event of the evening. Picking between them is a very tough call. How you decide between them is tough. More seems more experienced and maybe a guy deeper, Sioux Valley has the more top end talent. Picking is very hard, we say Tayton Vincent has a Player of the Year like memorable game and gets the win.
Langford Area vs Corsica-Stickney. Some feel Langford Area is number one. The schedule has not been overly tough but the Warner game sticks out and says this team is for real one of the leaders to win it all. Ten point win.
