“My speed and athleticism have really helped me at the varsity level. I feel like I’m one of the better athletes on my team. Growing up I wasn’t a great shooter but since my sophomore year I’ve become a knock down shooter.”
What are some of your weaknesses that you would like to work on?
“The number one thing I need to work on in my ball handling and especially with my left hand. I know If I want to play at the college level I’ll need to be able to dribble with both hands.”
Who is the toughest player you can recall playing against in Utah High School basketball?
“The toughest player I can recall playing in Utah High School basketball would easily have to be Frank Jackson. Not only did our team have to play against him, I had to personally guard him and that was a really tough task.”
What is your dream college that you would want to play for and why?
“My dream college that I would want to play for would have to be Utah State University. Growing up I was always an Aggie fan and went to the majority of their games. Playing for them would be awesome. My grandpa Kent Jenson also played for them in college along side with Wayne Estes, so thats always been really cool to know as well.”
Why should a college coach recruit you?
“A few things I could bring to a college team would be my energy, love for the game, IQ for the game, and being a great teammate.”
How do you see your team doing this year?
“So far this year we are 12-4 overall and 3-1 in region play. I see ourselves going undefeated in the rest of region play, and having a really strong run in the State tournament. Hopefully we’ll find ourselves competing for that Championship game come the end of February.”
Wh0 is your favorite NBA player and why?
“My favorite player in the NBA is Kevin Durant. Ever since Kevin made it into the NBA I was always watching him play on TV, and really just falling in love with the way he plays the game of basketball.”
What is your favorite moment in your high school career?
“My favorite moment in my high school career would be getting the chance to play Frank Jackson and a top ranked Lone Peak high school in the state tournament last year. I was able to score 20 points and personally guard Frank.”
Who has the best home crowd in the state other than your own?
“I would say that Logan High has the best students in the state other than ourselves. They may not be the friendliest fans to the opposing team, but they definitely show out to support and try and rattle the opponents. It’s a very fun and loud atmosphere.”
“My Favorite off the court activity is either playing NBA 2k with my buddies or drawing in a sketch book.”
What do you want to major in for college?
“I would really like to major in anything that deals with computers.”
What is your plan for after high school?
“Hopefully playing college basketball somewhere. I have been recruited hard at the moment by Pierce Community College, Dawson Community College, Lane Community College, Highline Community College, and SouthWestern Oregon Community College.”
