Friday Night’s Main Event. If you can only get out to see a game one night this week I would suggest Friday. If you are in the Sioux Falls area the O’Gorman at Lincoln game is a can’t miss. Rapid City Stevens took out Washington last Friday and this Friday they travel to Huron for another big showing. A win there grabs the attention for the second straight Friday in a row. Also Friday is an Aberdeen Central at Pierre TF Riggs contest that will sort out the top ten.
Dell Rapids at Tea Area is a Class A game that will packed the crowd and force people to get to the gym early. Chester Area at Tri-Valley is another headline contest. Chester is the preseason number 1 in Class B and they have a schedule that will earn them a top spot as long as they prove how good they are. The game of the night between Class B teams is Highmore-Harrold at Wolsey-Wessington played at Highmore.
Tuesday Top Ten Match-Ups. Washington dropped their first game of the season to Stevens last Friday so Tuesday they try and bounce back against Roosevelt who is looking for their first win. The Washington/Roosevelt battle can only be upstaged Tuesday By O’Gorman taking on Brandon Valley. O’Gorman plays their first game of the year against a Lynx team has already beaten Harrisburg and Huron.
Madison and Vermillion face the biggest tests of the night in Tri-Valley and Lennox respectively. Madison (1-0) and Vermillion (2-0) have started the season strong as has Tri-Valley. Lennox was crushed by SF Christian in their opener.
Tonight. Chamberlain and Gregory are top ten teams in Class A and Class B respectively and they play in the top game Monday night.
Lakota National Invitational. The four day event in Rapid City starts Wednesday night and is playing through Saturday. Little Wound, Red Cloud, White River, Tiospa Zina, Cheyenne Eagle-Butte, Custer, Pine Ridge, and others are all scheduled.
Saturday Feature. The game to see Saturday is at Sioux Falls Christian with a 4:45 tip off between SF Christian and Chamberlain. Both are top ten teams and leading contenders in their region to get to state.
