Top Ten Tuesday Night. The one full night of action this week is Tuesday and here is the top fivematch-ups for the night.
- Vermillion at Tri-Valley. Tri-Valley has a big week that starts with Vermillion. Tri Valley has the edge up front, Vermillion in the backcourt, Tri-Valley is at home. Could go either way.
- Huron at Brookings. Only four Class AA teams are undefeated still and one of those is Brookings (Pierre and Yankton). If the Bobcats are for real they will get the big win over the Tigers.
- Spearfish at Sturgis Brown. Sturgis hopes to keep their nice start going against Spearfish. This is a new Spearfish squad but they are still solid.
- Clark Willow Lake at Florence Henry. The undefeated Falcons have earned impressive wins on close games and now face the Cyclones who are 1-1 with only loss being to Sioux Valley.
- Sanborn Central/Woonsocket at Mt. Vernon/Plankinton. Lots of words, should be a good one. The Blackhawks have crushed their first two opponents.
Alums Go See a Game! Back from college for the holidays? Head out the door with friends and/or family and see your school compete. What are the Thursday Night options?
Tri-Valley at Chester Area gives you a great Steineke vs Prochello inside battle. Can Tri-Valley slow down the top team in state? They can win the inside battle and Jayden Burggraff can limit a wing. They have a chance.
Other interesting games include: Gregory at Mt Vernon/Plankinton, Harrisburg wanting win one against Aberdeen Central, and Mitchell playing Yankton in the Corn Palace. Winner and Parkston will be interesting as well Tiospa Zina versus Redfield/Doland. Sioux Falls Washington is at Marshall who is ranked second in Minnesota’s Class AAA.
Game of the night (Thursday)? That will be Madison at Sioux Valley. Dakota Schoolers AAU teammates Austin Lohsandt takes on SDSU committed Trevor Hanson inside. Don’t forget about up and comers Trevor Olson and Aaron Fiegen in this game and of course you have Augustana bound Tayton Vincent battling Mason Leighton and the Jankes.
Tonight. The Warner crew led by Tyler Rozell and Micah Hoellein host Potter County. That’s likely the main attraction tonight but there is also Iroquois vs Menno in the Corn Palace, Sioux Valley against Parker, and a Lennox/Canton game where teams need a win.
