“I like to run, I like to be a pick-and-roll ball handler,” said Foster, who started playing AAU basketball around age 11. “I like to lead my team. I like to be talkative I like to encourage my teammates, get them going.”
Foster’s leadership and intangibles will be key to his team’s success. After playing last season in the NEPSAC with South Kent (CT), he gained valuable experience in a high level environment.
“My jumper and my defense are most improved,” began Foster when asked what the most improved and underrated aspects of his game are. “My passing is underrated. I like to feed by bigs. Cause I know when I drive there are a lot of eyes on me. Easy dishes for them to finish, them to look good.”
JMU and Drexel have each hosted Foster for official visits this fall. Georgia Tech and Rhode Island are among the others who have expressed interest. The biggest thing with Foster has been consistency. This year, he’s consistently leading, talking and encouraging his team, and making good decisions with the ball. What can coaches who are recruiting Foster expect him to bring to their program?
“I can a lot to the table. Leadership, energy, scoring. Just trying make sure I do a little bit of everything.”
