Arius brings a lot of things to the table with his length and athleticism. He played his summer session with the 16U Spiece Indy Heat EYBL team and got good exposure to high level basketball and scouts.
Carroll got off to a slow start against South Bend Adams but has been improving since. Jones has been a major factor in their success on and off the court due to his skills on the court and leadership ability on and off the court.
Jones’ biggest goal for the season is to lead his team to state while being the best player that he can be. He brings versatility to this team as he has the length and strength to guard PG – PF and his court awareness on the defensive end makes him a good passer. He can get to the rim at will and knows how to find his open teammates to get them shots.
Arius has already received an offer from the University of Indianapolis earlier this year. He is currently getting interest from: Lipscomb University, Central Michigan University, Belmont University, and Wright State University.
As Arius continues to develop and play at a high level, he will continue to receive interest and offers. His build and skill set are hard to come by and he brings an edge to the floor. He rebounds well for a guard and likes to push the ball up the floor.
Be on the watch for Arius Jones out of Fort Wayne to make a little noise this season with Carroll High School. They have some talent coming off the bench and their starters can play with just about anyone in the state. Arius is just breaking onto the recruiting scene but that will continue to be there if he continues to work on his game.
