Troy Tournament: Rock Bridge vs. Francis Howell, 8:30 p.m. – A talented Rock Bridge team has rolled to victories in its first two games behind its talented group of young players. Sophomore Isiaih Mosley scored 31 points in the Bruins’ semifinal victory over Troy. Meanwhile, Howell has been a surprise team of the tournament with nice victories over Fort Zumwalt South and Hickman. The Vikings are led by 6’5″ senior Mike Brohm. Prediction: Rock Bridge.
Pattonville Tournament: Whitfield vs. Jennings, 8:15 p.m. (at Maryville University) – Whitfield has ridden the talents of junior standout Torrence Watson to the championship game. The 6’4″ Division I prospect is averaging 31.5 points in the Warriors’ two wins. Jennings pulled off a mild surprise in the semifinals when it defeated host Pattonville. Prediction: Whitfield.
Vianney Tournament: Vianney vs. Belleville West, 7 p.m. – Host Vianney has been most impressive with victories over SLUH and Ladue to advance to tonight’s finals. The Golden Griffins are led by 6’6″ senior Eric Krus, who is averaging 29.5 points in the tournament. Krus will contend with a West team that features to standout forwards in 6’7″ senior Tyler Dancy and 6’6″ sophomore E.J. Liddell. Prediction: Vianney
Southside Classic: Lindbergh vs. John Burroughs – Lindbergh has a solid team with good size, led by 6’4″ senior Dominic Davis and 6’6″ senior Spencer Levi. Senior guard Ryan Lacefield runs the show. John Burroughs has been impressive in its two wins as junior guard Jake Goldfarb is averaging 25.5 points in the tournament. Prediction: Lindbergh.
Rolla Herbert Tournament: Saxony Lutheran vs. St. Vincent. – Saxony Lutheran has a loaded team with a chance to make some noise in Class 3. Senior guard Corie Williams scored 38 points in the semifinals. St. Vincent pulled off a nice win over Crystal City to get to the championship game. Prediction: Saxony Lutheran.
Tipton Tournament: New Bloomfield vs. Smithton, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. – New Bloomfield edged Chamois in an overtime thriller in the semis as 6’6″ 2018 Jak Kitchens had 35 points and 24 rebounds. Smithton defeated Jametown to punch its ticket to the finals. Prediction: New Bloomfield.
Eugene Tournament: Blair Oaks vs. Eugene, Saturday, 6:30 p.m. – Blair Oaks advanced to the finals with a nice 24-point win over No. 1 seed Osage in the semifinals. The Falcons are led by 6’7″ senior Jason Rackers. Host Eugene edged Tuscumbia to reach the finals. Prediction: Blair Oaks.
MBCA Hall of Fame Classic (Semifinals): DeSmet vs. Lafayette, 7 p.m. – A battle between two St. Louis schools down in Springfield in the first semifinals. DeSmet is led by 6’7″ Bradley signee Ryan Stipanovich and 6’2″ junior sharpshooter Brooks Ford. Lafayette counters with its veteran backcourt of Adam Flinn and Jake Messer. Prediction: DeSmet
Raytown vs. Nixa, 8:30 p.m. – An excellent battle shaping up here between two talented veteran teams. Both teams had impressive first-round victories. The matchup in the post should really be a good one between beefy 6’5″ 2018 Mason Fair of Raytown against athletic 6’6″ 2017 Christian Bundy on Nixa. Prediction: Nixa
Oran Invitational Tournament: Malden vs. Scott County Central, 8 p.m. Top-seeded Malden defeated host Oran in one semifinal as DuShawn Butler led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points. No. 2 seed Scott County defeated Advance in a 91-75 shootout as senior Deantrell Beard had 31 points and 17 rebounds. Prediction: Scott County Central
