Emmanuel Aghayere was physically dominant at Langley last night. The 6’5 junior showcased a non-stop work ethic and good competitiveness.
BEST OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | EMMANUEL AGHAYERE | SOUTH LAKES ’18
Aghayere scored 17 of his 24 in the first 10 minutes. He scored from various angles around the basket and did a tremendous job sealing off his man.
BEST DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE | EMMANUEL AGHAYERE | SOUTH LAKES ’18
Aghayere filled the stat sheet last night. He added 2 blocks and 2 steals, which were game-highs. He also did a nice job staying vertical while challenging shots
BEST UNDER-THE-RADAR PERFORMANCE | MARCUS CHERRY | SOUTH LAKES ’17
Marcus Cherry came alive down the stretch for the Seahawks. Cherry finished up with 16 points and 6 rebounds
BEST REBOUNDER | EMMANUEL AGHAYERE SOUTH LAKES ’18
Aghayere snared 14 boards. He did a nice job securing the ball at it’s highest point in traffic.
BEST GUY OFF THE BENCH | CHASE BECKETT | LANGLEY ’18
Chase Beckett came in and did a nice job spearheading Langley’s late comeback. The junior guard initiated offense and was very aggressive.
BEST INTANGIBLES | EMMANUEL AGHAYERE | SOUTH LAKESE ’18
Aghayere demonstrated incredible instincts on both ends of the floor. His timing was solid while challenging shots. Aghayere also showed solid awareness and some crafty finishes around the rim.
BEST UNDERCLASSMEN | CAMERON SAVAGE | SOUTH LAKES ’19
Cameron Savage ran the show tonight for Seahawks Head Coach Andrew Duggan. Savage hit 6 free throws in the fourth quarter to help his team clinch the win.
BEST CATCH AND SHOOT GUY | CHAS BATTAGLIA | LANGLEY ’17
Chas Battaglia didn’t really see much room to operate, and that’s for good reason. When he did get room, Battaglia demonstrated a quick and confident shot.
BEST PASSER | COLTER CARTON | LANGLEY ’18
Thought Colter Carton delivered some very nice passes both from baseline out of bounds sets and in open play. Carton also showcased improved ball-handling.
