Continue ReadingNate Walpole of the Class of 2017 in Indiana is a prolific scorer from long range. Walpole ran this summer with Indiana Elite Region 2017 and used the AAU season to work on different aspects of his game. The native of Whitko High School has seen his recruiting begin to heat up heading into his senior season and is hoping to turn interest into offers.
Walpole is currently posting interest from Wabash College, Anderson University, Huntington University, St. Joseph’s College, Ohio Christian University, and Cincinnati Christian University. As Walpole continues to develop his game he is hoping to find a college with a good program that he feels comfortable playing in. Also helpful that he is holding a 4.0 GPA going into his senior year.
This summer he began to work with his new high school coach in preparation for the upcoming season. He continued to work on his outside shooting but also focused some of his time on being more consistent and ball handling. He wants to be a continual threat from tip to final buzzer.
Nate plans to still be the play maker that he has been in the past with bot his jump shot and working off the dribble. When he adds the element of finishing around the rim to his game, Walpole will be a strong candidate for the aforementioned programs. Leadership is also something that Walpole is looking to work on during his senior season. Both being able to lead by example and vocally will help his team meet their goal of making it through sectionals.
Be on the lookout for Walpole to have a strong senior season and make a name for himself in the eyes of collegiate programs. Nate is anxiously awaiting the start of his senior season and can’t wait to get after it with his teammates.
