Frost played this summer with Southern Indiana Select 2017 and saw improvements in his own game as well as progress by the entire team. Kyle is looking forward to his senior season with Columbus East High School and leading them to a sectional title.
Frost was most pleased with the progress that his high school team made over the summer as they got more and more time together. “Our school team bonded well over the summer through morning workouts, open gyms, and team bonding activities.” Frost believes that Columbus East has the talent to have a great season and hopefully grab the sectional title and more.
Kyle is looking to become a more potent threat around the rim. He already is good with is body and positioning on the left side of the floor and has a good mid-range jump shot. “I am working on my strength and stamina as well as my right hand to be more of a threat in the post.” Not only will this make him a better scoring presence for Columbus East, but it will also make his teammates around him better.
“I am good at being able to get good positioning on the left side of the court and finish with a strong left hook. It feels the most comfortable for me”. Frost is unique in the fact that he understands that basketball is a game of moving on to the next play. He has the next play mentality and knows when he makes mistakes, he shouldn’t compound them. He also posts a strong 3.93 GPA.
Frost wants to help make his team as good as they can be this season by increasing the level of communication that he provides on the defense end. He is usually on the back line so he can see the entire court more so than some of the guys around him.
Kyle is also looking for a college or university with an engineering program. He is still exploring options but knows that a degree in engineering is important to his future.
Be on the lookout for Kyle Frost to make an impact for Columbus East this season as he looks to expand his options for his future.
