The 6’5″, 185-pound junior guard/wing is a true threat for Oldsmar Christian. Mitchell scored a team-high 19 points and added five assists in the Eagles’ season-opening win, 83-43 over Hudson on Monday night.
He threw some high flying dunks down, nailed a couple of contested 3-pointers and took the ball to the rack.
Mitchell is a smart and crafty player who plays with a smile on his face. He is lengthy and quick and uses that to his advantage in games.
Currently, he holds offers from Penn State, FGCU, Saint Joseph’s, Rhode Island, Kennesaw State, Kent State and Cleveland State. Earlier this summer, Mitchell generated interest from Louisville.
This kid is poised to break out even further as a junior. Playing next to highly sought after junior point guard Elijah Weaver and speedy junior guard Akeil Shakoor, Oldsmar has a tremendous junior trio in the fold.
Mitchell will continue to make plays at a high clip for this team. He’s a 2018 prospect to watch all season long.
