Willie Lucas and Marcedus Leech (Poplar Bluff): The 6’5″ duo proved to be an impressive scoring duo in their first year of playing together as they both averaged 20 points a game. Lucas, a senior, is a Stretch 4 who can score in the post or step outside and knock down 3-pointers. Leech is one of the top 2019 prospects in the country with Division I offers from a number of top programs.
Monty Johal and Jordan Walton (Glendale): This dynamic duo of 2018 guards have been together since their grade school days. Together, they led Glendale to the Class 4 state quarterfinals a year ago. Both played on MoKan Elite’s powerful 17U team that dominated the grassroots circuit during the summer. Ridder signed with Xavier while Davis is headed to the U.S. Naval Academy.
Marshon Morrisey and Wesley Sharp (Ellington): This dynamic pair have been starters since their freshman seasons and have put little Ellington on the basketball map after leading the Whippets to back to back district championships in Class 2. The 6’4″ Morrisey is a powerful force in the low post while the 6’6″ Sharp is a long, lanky wing player who can handle the ball and shoot 3-pointers.
Tyree King and R.J. Lawrence (Blue Springs): A dynamic pair of guards who can really put the ball in the basket. The 6’1″ King averaged 14 points a game as a junior while the 5’11” Lawrence averaged 13 points a game as a sophomore last year. Together, they are one of the most dangerous backcourt tandems around.
Destan Williams and Richard Henderson (Pattonville): The 5’9″ Williams is one of the top point guards in the state while the 6’6″ Henderson is a dunking machine in the low post. They have teamed up for many alley oops in their careers. Williams is a scoring point who averaged 18 points while leading the Pirates in assists and steals while Henderson averaged 16 points and eight rebounds a game. He has signed with Austin Peay.
Matt Austin and Jaiden Bristol (St. Joe Central): This talented pair of seniors is back for one more run as one of the best backcourt tandems in the state. Both guards averaged 15 points a game as juniors. Both are talented offensive players who can attack the basket off the dribble or knock down jumpers. Austin is an excellent defensive player who creates turnovers while Bristol is a very good rebounder from the guard position.
