At your school, what is your favorite part or parts about game days in terms of the routine leading up to the game?
“My favorite part about game day is when we go to someone’s house to eat a pregame meal. We usually eat then just chill and play Xbox.”
What makes your crowd unique? What is a memorable thing that they’ve done that you will always remember?
“With our crowd you never know what you’re going to get it’s usually a surprise. The most memorable moment was our region final freshman game against Parkston. The crowd was insane and they made that victory so much better.”
Who is the toughest player you can recall playing against in South Dakota basketball and why?
“Ty Hoglund has been the toughest player I’ve play against because he can do everything even if you are right up guarding him.”
Who is your biggest rival and what about them makes the rivalry both heated and memorable?
“Dell Rapids would be our biggest rivals. They are just a town that is close to us and you never want to loose to them. There is always a big crowd that comes, so that makes it that much more fun.”
Who is your favorite basketball player in the world and why?
“Kobe Bryant is my favorite basketball player of all time, because he is the closest thing to Micheal Jordan that many of us will ever see.”
All basketball players love gear. What brand of gear or type of gear are you partial to?
“My favorite brand is Nike. All of my basketball shoes are Nike.”
What is your favorite venue to play basketball in that you’ve played in?
“The Pentagon has been my favorite venue to play in. It was a great experience to play on Heritage Court in front of lots of people.”
What court that you haven’t played on would you dream of playing on?
“My dream would be to play at Staples Center in LA. My favorite team is the Lakers, so it would be great to play on the same court as my favorite play of all time.”
Explain the relationship varsity players have at your school with youth players?
“The relationship we have with younger players is a fun one. We mainly just joke around with them and try to teach them a thing or too.”
Best coaching advice you’ve received is what and who was it from?
“The best advice I’ve received was to just relax and it was from my school coach Rob Grady.”
Who is your basketball influence?
“My basketball influence is my dad. He influenced me to start playing and my goal is to be better than he was.”
