“My favorite parts about game day are first off just knowing that is game day, and for our home games or away games in Sioux Falls we dress up to school. Which I am a fan of, look good, feel good, play good. Also, every player has a cheerleader, and every game day the cheerleader brings you a treat.”
What makes your crowd unique? What is a memorable thing that they’ve done that you will always remember?
“Our crowd, otherwise known as the Lincoln Crazies are amazing for basketball games. I will never forget how they showed out at state and they were very loud. Huge impact for us players.”

“The toughest player that I, myself have played against would probably be Sam Siganos. He is able to take full control of game and can pretty much score at will.”
Who is your biggest rival and what about them makes the rivalry both heated and memorable?
“Over the last two seasons, I would say that our biggest rivals would be Washington. Every time we play them, there is always a ton of people who show up and it is always a fun game to be apart of. It gets pretty heated since our only two wins against them in the last two years have been State Championships.”
Who is your favorite basketball player in the world and why?
“It sounds cliché but I am a Steph Curry fan. I love his game and how he can change a game by just a couple shots beyond the arc. But more importantly I have a lot of respect for him because of how he handles himself off the court.”
What brand of gear or type of gear are you partial to?
“I used to be only Nike and Jordan, but last year I switched some stuff up and wore different shoes from different brands. I like wearing different shoes or having a different look every game to keep things fresh.”
What is your favorite venue to play basketball in that you’ve played in?
“As of now, my favorite venue has to be the Denny Sanford Premier Center, it is the place where I won my first championship and it is a fun place and huge place to play in.”
What court that you haven’t played on would you dream of playing on?
“I think to play at Cameron Indoor where Duke plays would be unreal. I am not a Duke fan but just knowing the history and all that has happened there would be crazy. I would love to play there with a packed house.”
Explain the relationship varsity players have at your school with youth players?
“The varsity players have a large impact on all the younger players, and I for sure feel that they look up to us. Throughout the season, no matter what level you play at whether freshman or varsity, we all come close and form a family.”
Best coaching advice you’ve received is what and who was it from?
“I have received plenty of advice over the years, but the main thing that stuck to me was when I heard “Forget about your bad play and make it up on the next play.” I got that advice from my old basketball coach Terry Bartlett.”
Who is your basketball influence?
“Though my brother does not currently play basketball, he is the reason that I am where I am today. He played ball in high school and has always wanted me to succeed and be the best I could be. He always works with me and I am very blessed to have someone like him. So, my brother is my basketball influence.”
