There was some high end talent at the Top Rank Showcase, which was held last Sunday in Blue Springs, Mo. Here are some of the top performers from the Showcase.
<strong>Marcedus Leech</strong> 6'5" Poplar Bluff '19: The sophomore sharpshooter took home Most Valuable Player honors from the showcase. The long, slender wing was knocking down shots from all over the place, with many coming from 3-point distance. He could shoot off the catch and create his own shot with his nifty handles.
<strong>Bol</strong> <strong>Bol</strong> 7'0" Bishop Miege (KS) '18: Once again, Bol displayed why he is one of the most uncanny players in the country with his combination of size, length and versatile set of skills. He scored in the post with ease and can play on the perimeter with the smoothness of a 6'4" guard. The silky Bol has 3-point range and dunks the ball with equal force and grace.
<strong>Jamichael</strong> <strong>Morgan</strong> 6'5" Blue Valley NW (KS) '17: A missle of an athlete who plays with a high motor at all times, Morgan took home the championship in the slam dunk competition. Not only did he dunk many in the contest, he had his share of spectacular dunks during the games as well. He attacks the basket at all times with great explosion and high energy and he gets the results.
<strong>Jaycson Bereal </strong>6'6" Booker T. Washington (OK): '18: A long, lanky wing player who combines athleticism with an excellent set of perimeter skills. He showed that he was equally capable of dribbling into a pull up 3-pointer who throwing down a tomahawk dunk with ease. His handles and mid-range game was also nice.
<strong>Drew Lowder</strong> 6'1" Ann Arbor Pioneer (MI) '19: An electric point guard who did a great job of creating buckets for himself and his teammates. He had the play of the camp with a spectacular behind the back pass to an open teammate for a dunk in the All-Star Game. Lowder displayed tremendous handles and the ability to score on jumpers, floaters, driving layups and 3-pointers off the dribble.
<strong>Darien</strong> <strong>Jackson</strong> 6'2" Blue Valley NW (17): The explosive shooting guard had a good time getting out in transition and throwing down a variety of dunks during the showcase. Jackson got to the basket any time he wanted on the drive and finished with authority. He also knocked down his share of mid-range jumpers.
<strong>Keyshawn Embery</strong> 6'3" Midwest City (OK) '18: Talented shooting guard who constantly made plays off the dribble and finished at the rim. He also displayed a nice shooting touch from the perimeter with the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. Plays with high energy.
<strong>Yor</strong> <strong>Anei</strong> 6'9" Shawnee Mission South (KS) '18: The long southpaw post player pretty much had his way in the paint throughout the day. He scored inside on post touches, offensive rebounds and even some rim runs as he hustled down the court. Anei also stepped out and knocked down a few 12 to 15 footers.
<strong>Markese Hastings</strong> 6'6" Godwin Heights (MI) '18: A versatile combo forward who could impact play inside or own the perimeter. He is long and athletic and displayed a lot of shot blocking ability. On offense, he handled the ball, made jumpers and finished with authority in traffic. He was strong and physical with enough finesse to make him a matchup problem.
<strong>Glenroy Rolle</strong> 6'7" Vision Prep (KY) '17: An active and athletic post player who had some dominant moments during the showcase. His athleticism and physical play enabled him to do whatever he want in the post. He also scored on drives and ran the court hard in transition for more buckets. He dominated without a lot of flash, just meat and potatoes to his game.
<strong>Zach</strong> <strong>Harvey</strong> 6'5" Topeka Hayden (KS) '19: A very smooth wing player who kept opposing defenders on skates throughout the day with his handles and ability to create space. When he was done making a kid fall, he could rise up and drain a perimeter jumper. He was a participant at the recent USA Basketball Fall Camp in Colorado Springs.
<strong>Roman Wilson</strong> 6'9" Park Hill '19: The talented sophomore big continues to showcase his expanded perimeter game as he knocked down a number of 3-pointers off the catch. He was already tough around the basket, but he handles the ball and has the look of a scary matchup problem in a 6'9" body.
