Top Missouri Prospects
R.J. Lawrence 5’11” Blue Springs: The smooth and thin guard continued to show his ability to get buckets against some very talented guards. He knocked down several 3-pointers off the catch and off the dribble with some nifty escape moves. R.J. got to the rim and finished layups and also got to the middle area and made shots. Selected to the Top 20 All-Star Game.
Damien Daniels 5’8″ Hogan Prep: A fearless little guard who played at a fast and furious pace and does it comfortably. Daniels has the uncanny ability of finishing around the rim on his drives despite being several inches smaller than the rim protectors that he challenges. Not only is he quick and fast, but he’s plenty tough. Selected to the Top 20 All-Star Game.
Saadique Perkins 6’3″ Park Hill South: The talented combo guard was selected to the Top 40 All-Star Game. He was very good at getting out on the break and finishing in transition throughout the day. He has good length and a nice skill set.
Kaden Evans 6’0″ Oak Park: The smooth shooting point guard displayed his nice stroke from 3-point range. He also did a nice job of handling the ball and sharing it with his teammates. He can also make a mid-range jumper.
Duncan Hughes 6’0″ Wellington-Napoleon: A solid guard who did a nice job of moving without the basketball and scoring on cuts to the basket. He is also a battler who got his share of rebounds.
Rashaan Collins 5’8″ Hogan Prep: The small and aggressive guard was selected to the Top 40 All-Star Game. Collins is a tenacious performer who played with great energy at both ends of the floor. He was very good in dribble penetration.
Top Regional and National Prospects
Jon Matthews 5’10” Oklahoma City (OK): A nifty point guard with a nice combination of fundamentals and flash in his game. He has smooth dribble-drive moves to create openings for himself. He can also drop dimes and get buckets for himself and his teammates.
Jeff Canfield 5’10” Topeka Hayden (KS): A solid floor leader who took care of the ball and made plays for himself and his teammates. Canfield is a good facilitator with the ability to knock down 3-pointers.
Koriyon Carr 5’10” Topeka West (KS): A quick point guard who was strong off the dribble and did a nice job of getting in the lane, where he was a good finisher. He played with good pace and knocked down jumpers on the move.
Malik Jones 5’9″ Lansing (MI): A small and quick guard who is strong with his compact build. He pushed the pace of play at every opportunity and did an excellent job of trying to distribute the basketball and picking his spots to score.
