Teams: Beech Grove, Danville, Indian Creek, Indianapolis Northwest, Indianapolis Ritter, Indianapolis Washington, Park Tudor
Last Year: Park Tudor made quick work in this sectional going 20-5 and taking the championship relatively easy. Danville had a great season as well but they fell in the championship. Indian Creek finished 16-8 but only played five 3A teams. Beech Grove played a tough schedule and finished the season 13-10 while Ritter finished 11-11.
Contenders For 2016-17: This is going to be a two horse race for the sectional title again this year. Park Tudor will be strong again but may take a step down due to the loss of Jaren Jackson. Park Tudor still has three very good guards that can play with anyone in the state and this will be the thing that sets them apart from everyone else. Danville will be very solid once again and they could potentially knock of Park Tudor. Beech Grove could be a sleeper in this sectional with a senior duo that can really rack up points.
Player To Watch: There are multiple players to watch in this one but the main guy will be Kobe Webster, a senior from Park Tudor. He averaged 14.5 PPG last year and with the departure of Jackson he will be expected to step up. Some others to keep an eye on are Isaiah Rice a senior from Park Tudor who averaged 10.8 PPG and also sophomore teammate Isiah Moore who averaged 9.8 PPG. Alec Burton a senior from Danville will be a big key returner who averaged 10.7 PPG and 7.5 assists. From Beech Grove, seniors Dylan Allen and Chase Andries will be a very dynamic duo as well returning 29.2 PPG combined.
