He has seen his recruiting heat up here recently and is excited for the upcoming season. I had the chance to catch up with Dominic these past few weeks to take a look into his workout focus’s and recruiting process.
Most recently Dominic has been on visits with Millikin University and Bethel College. Other visits on his resume include Depauw University and Anderson University. Along with the visits with Millikin University, they have recently been in to watch him workout with Zionsville.
Genco had this to say about the upcoming season, “Our team is looking solid and poised for a great season.” Zionsville will be returning some veteran players this year and Genco will be poised to help lead the team deep into the post season.
Genco received his first offer from Bethel College while on a visit earlier this month. He enjoyed the atmosphere around the program and the coaching staff. Bethel would be a great fit for him with his play style and overall program fit. Genco does not know where he wants to end up playing yet but will most likely be looking at options when it’s all said and done.
He has been working during the offseason to gain confidence in his game and body. Genco understands his current level of play but wants to work on his weaknesses to make himself a consistent threat on the court. Genco had this to say about his workouts, “I have been working on my jump shot, specifically threes, so I have more confidence this season to pull up. I have also been hard at work on my ball handling and getting stronger.” Adding these aspects to his game will help his recruiting process and allow him to stay aggressive from start to finish in games.
Keep an eye out for Zionsville and Dominic Genco this upcoming high school as he works to find the right fit in a college program.
