First Team
Mason Archambault of Rapid City Stevens (Sr). Mason averaged 16.3 points a game on 44 percent shooting, with 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 steals per contest, on the state’s third place team. All State a year ago.
Matt Cartwright of SF O’Gorman (Sr). The state’s top senior prospect has committed to Augustana. Last year he scored 12.2 points per game on 41 percent 3-point shooting and will have a bigger senior year.
Jack Talley of SF Washington (Sr ). One of the most athletic frontcourt players in the state Talley has the versatility to score inside and out while taking up some of the leadership that Sam Signaos left behind.
Hyland Heinz of Huron (Sr). Hyland scored12.2 points per game with just over four boards and was a 40 plus percent three point shooter on his way to earning all state last year.
JP Costello of SF O’Gorman (Sr). One of the most physical frontcourt players in the state JP will roll over just about anybody to take care of his tasks.
Second Team
Christophe Bwayne of SF Lincoln (Jr). Bwayne earned some all conference mention last year at Roosevelt but now the explosive guard as an upperclassmen at Lincoln a part of their talented junior class.
Brad Dean of Pierre (Sr). Bradley is one of the state’s best shooters and is now in position to lead this team. He has experience in big games, now he will be the top guy.
Cannon Hannigan of Aberdeen Central (Sr). Central veteran guard who should put up near team leading numbers for the third straight year.
Logan Utecht of SF Washington (Jr). A matured athlete beyond his years Logan seemed to get better as the season went on handling whichever guard spot his team asked of him.
Cole Bergan of Aberdeen Central (Jr). Skilled junior forward who can play inside and out, Cole should really blossom this year.
Third Team
Tye Evers of Huron (Sr). One of the state’s best workers Evers has two years of varsity experience already because he’s physical, tough, and will do whatever he’s asked.
Jacob Martin of RC Stevens (Sr). Jacob was very productive in last year’s run to third place taking a lot of pressure of Archambault.
Alex Fiegen of SF Roosevelt (Sr). Alex has improved to a level that is well beyond what many have expected. He is a tough and vocal leader who will be coming down hill all year.
Matthew Mors of Yankton (8th). What Matthew did last year was quite amazing and we expect it to be the start of an incredible run.
Wil Johnson of Harrisburg (Sr).. This is the year that the Tigers have pegged as the one where they come up and string some wins together. Wil is the guy that will lead them to those wins.
Fourth Team
Spencer Waege of Watertown (Sr). One of many who will take over a big load from the departed Nate Davis as Watertown moves into the future. Spencer was all conference last year.
Brennan Carlson of Brookings (Sr). One half of the Brookings Athletic Law Firm Carlson & Coughlin, Carlson had an excellent spring and summer playing a role and getting better as a shooter for the Schoolers.
Carter Kosiak of SF O’Gorman (Sr). The 6-foot-7 froncourt skilled player will be an excellent player to pair with Costello as they are different players in different frames that both produce.
Spencer Grage of Brandon Valley (Sr). BV has a nice group of seniors that have high expectations and Spencer is one of the many who will lead together. Was all conference a year ago.
Devin Coughlin of Brookings (Sr). The other half of Carlson & Coughlin, Devin is a wing worker just like his team and a player that Brookings expects to have a big year, just like his teammate.
Dillon Barrow of SF Lincoln (Jr). Dillon was more of deep bench support when Lincoln was in the title game but this year we expect the ball to be in his hands.
Isaac Goeman of SF Washington (Sr). One of a couple experience Warrior bigs that return to give Washington a battle tested frontcourt.
