A 6-foot-7, 170-pound forward with a smooth perimeter jumper, McCullough is also capable of working in the low post as well.
McCullough says he has spent much of the offseason with the Magic working on his ball handling and strength to open up drive to the basket.
He says he tries to pattern his game after Kevin Durant, another big man with a smooth outside shooting stroke.
“I try to pattern my game after Kevin Durant because he is able to shoot really well but if he needs to dribble and get to the basket, he can,” McCullough said. “I try to model my game after him with scoring.”
McCullough, who recently attended Missouri State Elite Camp in Springfield, says he currently doesn’t have any offers, but hopes that will change this season.
“In the spring with KC Magic, we didn’t have the season that we wanted,” he said. “Most of the time we were only going .500 in tournaments. In the month of July, we had good outings in tournaments and worked together as a team.
“By playing with KC Magic, it has helped me develop skills such as working hard and never taking off a play. It has also helped me realize my strengths of shooting and my weakness of dribbling.”
