Dapprich was on hand for Rob Yanders’ annual Basketball Movement last weekend in Nixa and showed off a diverse skill set in the process.
“My role (last year at Branson) was mostly being able to run plays and execute the offense, make a lot of plays for others, but also for myself,” Dapprich said.
Dapprich spent the offseason competing for Yanders Law and said he hopes the experience will pay off as he gears up for his senior year.
“I thought the summer was pretty good, it was my first year on a team and I probably should have played with them in years past,” he said. “I got a lot of opportunities that were good for me. I’m thinking about doing more invitationals and camps like this.”
Dapprich says he has become a better ball handler and has focused on pulling up off the dribble.
“That is an area that I am focused on,” he said. “I think my strength is probably my 3-point shooting and I have been focused on getting better at other things.”
Branson will look to replace a large senior class from last year’s team that finished the season strong under head coach Kirk Hansen. Dapprich said the team will definitely have a different look in 2016-17 as he is the only returning starter.
“I think it is going to be a change this year for Branson,” he said. “I think it is going to be a change, but I think we’ll get into it in the 15 days of practice. I think I’ll help bring them all together and work together.
“Leadership is probably going to be my main focus.”
