Landon Hall Could Do Everything For Brownsburg
This group lost a lot of players to graduation last season and the junior class was a little light. Landon Hall is the best remaining player as an upperclassmen with seven seniors graduating last year and only a couple other 2017’s still left on the roster. Andre Davis and Packard Rozzi will have much bigger roles this season as seniors. However, for this team to reach it’s potential, Hall, a 6’4 wing, will need to see an increased scoring role to go with all of the other things that he has a part of his game now. He’s one of the more active players you will find that will rebound, pass, and play defense. Scoring is a little light in terms of overall skillset but he has everything in place to see that take a big step forward heading into his senior season.
Young Core To Be Showcased
Overall, this is a very young team with many potential starters considered underclassmen. Look for guys like Cameron Alford and Reis Thomas to be big parts of this team in their sophomore seasons. These guys both had decent freshman seasons and big summers playing for Team Teague and Indiana Elite Central, respectively. Thomas could be a huge help as his big, strong frame can match up with quite a few players and on offense he’s like a freight train getting to the rim. Alford should be the starting point guard and will give them a tempo of play that really lends itself to the personnel Brownsburg has on it’s roster. These two guys will be the future of this team and this season will be their coming out party.
Size Might Be Biggest Question Mark
The only returning player with any size is Kyle Wolf, a 6’7 junior forward. He’s likely to get the first wack at the starting lineup and has a good enough frame to be able to matchup with most of Brownsburg’s schedule. However, the depth behind him is the question. Malek Edmonds and Trashawn Britt all could be in the mix but they are unknowns at this point. Britt and Reis Thomas both play football and were not at the workout. As football ends, getting this team together could shed more light on how it will all workout but if the bigs can be solid, the guards and wings have the room to grow this season, this team could reach it’s potential but that means some big efforts from the young core.
