“I tried to hit the weights this summer to become stronger,” Simpson said. “Then I’m starting to get in the gym and get some shots up.”
For Parshall to make a run this March in the Class B State Tournament his team needs to add depth.
“Developing more role players and getting the team bonding we need to become a stronger and more efficient team as what our focus is,” said Simpson.
PHD watched Deyondre compete with Parshall at the Gopher Team Camp this past June and we watched Simpson handle the ball possession after possession and separate to create shots for himself constantly.
The natural ability is there but Simpson didn’t play AAU basketball this winter so many schools aren’t sure where his game is at the moment. Right now one program has called him some.
“I’ve heard from the University of Mary,” said Simpson. “I visited the Arizona State University this summer but I haven’t taken any visits for any basketball related colleges.”
