Christian Bishop (6-6, 2018, Lee’s Summit West): Wing player with a long, athletic frame, had the highlight dunk of the camp that we saw as he threw down a two hander in traffic. A little raw, but has a lot of upside.
Kevin Jones (6-0, 2019, Sikeston): A real competitor, Jones can defend, handle and is one of the state’s premier young shooters. Has a strong frame and room to grow as a player, look for him to rise up the boards over the next year.
Ethan Kilgore (6-6, 2020, East Buchanan): A combo forward with excellent size who played everywhere for his 15U Pacers team. Can score in the paint, but he handled the ball much of the time and facilitated the offense.
Marcedus Leech (6-5, 2019, Poplar Bluff): The biggest name at the camp and one of the most highly ranked recruits to attend an MSU Elite Camp in memory, Leech is a five star talent. Just getting him to attend MSU Elite Camp is an impressive feat, and he showed off an impressive handle to go along with quickness and leaping ability.
Lamel Robinson (5-10, 2019, Park Hill South): Might have had as impressive a day as any player we saw. Man, this kid can really play in an open run setting. He can handle, create, score at all three levels and competes. Has a nice outside shooting stroke and excellent quickness.
Jordan Walton (6-0, 2017, Glendale): Probably had the best day of any of the local players from what we saw. Can really fill it up from deep and is stronger and better getting to the basket. Missouri State coaches encouraged Walton to go get the ball when his team started to cough it up and Walton handled a lot of the point guard duties. He is coming off a strong summer and has started to draw interest from several schools.
Roman Wilson (6-9, 2019, Park Hill): These type of open runs aren’t really the best setting for big men as it favors guards who can handle and shake and bake, but Wilson is a superb talent that is only now scratching the surface of his abilities. He could very well end up being one of the states most sought after big men in his class in a couple years.
