Olawale Odofin 6’9″ (St. Louis Christian): The talented post player really enjoyed a big month of July and earned him a Division I offer from SEMO in the process. After a week of feeling out his new team at the Mullens, Odofin was terrific at the Adidas Three Stripes and Hardwood. He got buckets in the post and displayed a nice shooting touch from 15 feet. Odofin also enjoyed several tip dunks off missed shots. He was also a factor on defense with his size and length.
Nick Bulanda 6’2″ (Marquette): This young man was getting serious buckets at the Hardwood, where he enjoyed a couple of huge scoring games. I love his high arching mid-range jumper in which he gets excellent elevation. Bulanda also displayed some big-time 3-point shooting in Kansas, including a game where I watched him nail four in succession.
Jake Messer 6’0″ (Lafayette): A physical combo guard with a strong body, Messer displayed his ability to score in a variety of ways. He is an excellent 3-point shooter off the catch, but he was quite capable of getting to the basket and finishing at the rim. He was strong enough to play through contact and get a number of conventional three-point plays.
Adam Flinn 5’11” (Lafayette): A nifty little point guard who really makes the team go with his ball handling and passing ability. He was dropping dimes all summer to teammates from all kinds of angles. He makes the simple pass, yet he can give you a few crowd-pleasing ones as well. Adam also does a fine job of getting to the basket off dribble penetration. He finds the angles and manages to get his lean body to the bucket on the regular.
Raymond Smith 6’5″ (St. Louis Christian): A strong and athletic combo forward who did a nice job of creating matchup problems for opponents. He is a natural wing player, but he spent much of his time at the four spot, where he handled himself well with is physical strength and athleticism. His versatile skill set of offense made his hard for bigger defenders.
Kory Brubaker 6’0″ (Lafayette): This young man played with excellent energy at all times, just flying around the court. He was very good moving without the ball as he scored on many hard cuts to the basket. He also rebounded well from the guard position and knocked down his share of 3-pointers.
