They also advanced to the Elite Eight of the KC Hardwood Classic to close the July evaluation period. Here is a look at some of the top prospects of the MBA Flight:
Brandon Emmert 6’6″ Bolivar: The talented power forward put up some big scoring numbers while putting on a clinic on how to play low-post basketball. Emmert was tough to handle around the hoop with his ability to seal for position and score with both hands. He also hit a number of 15 footers off the catch and scored on a number of rim runs, which displayed great hustle. He scored a number of Division II offers after July.
Treydon Rackley 6’2″ Republic: On a team with excellent inside and outside balance, Rackley was the team’s top perimeter shooting threat. He could run the court and make transition 3-pointers and did a nice job coming off screens. He could also score off the bounce with a hard dribble move for a mid range jumper.
Christian Bundy 6’6″ Nixa: A big bodied player in the post, Bundy was an offensive force with his activity and athleticism around the basket. He was a strong finisher around the hoop with his ability to elevate and dunk on people. He has nice moves in the post and he runs the court well in transition to get buckets.
Kenny Chambers 6’0″ Willard (2018): A young guard who played up at the 17U level and did an excellent job as a combo guard. He was a nice ball handler and passing threat, but he can also knock down open 3-pointers, especially from the corner. I also like his basketball IQ. He can play.
Conley Garrison 6’0″ Bolivar: A solid point guard who has been starting for his high school team for four years and feeding his teammate Emmert during the winter and grassroots season. He is a fine ball handler who can distribute the ball and knock down 3-pointers. He did a nice job of taking care of the ball.
Julius Walker 6’5″ Springfield Greenwood: A nice athlete with a strong body who was a valuable role player throughout the summer. He was a very active rebounder who scored on his share of offensive put backs. He was also a very active low post defender. He was a very good effort player.
Jack Ehrhardt 6’1″ Lebanon: A tough, combo guard who is strong with the ball and has the ability to make plays off the dribble. He has the ability to play through contact and finish around the basket.
Isaac Blakeslee 6’2″ Kickapoo: A southpaw wing player who had the ability to knock down shots from 3-point range. You leave him open and he was capable of hitting three or four in a row. Shot it with confidence.
