They advanced to the Elite Eight of the Jayhawk Summer Finale and Mullen’s High Profile Tournament. Here is a look at some of the top prospects on the Keys Elite.
Ochai Agbaji 6’3″ Oak Park: One of the most impressive stock-risers in the Class of ’18. Agbaji showcased a versatile offensive game from the wing with 3-point shooting, smooth dribble moves to the basket and a consistent mid-range game. He was a dangerous weapon in transition with his finishing ability. He received a Division I offer from Miami (OH) for his efforts.
Mason Fair 6’5″ Raytown: A wide-body post player who was a consistent producer in the low post throughout the summer. He used his big body well to gain position to score in the post and rebound at a high level. I watched him produced some double-doubles against some good competition. Has a soft touch around the basket.
Dorian Wright 6’0″ Blue Springs South: A physical point guard with a strong body and a good set of handles. Did a nice job of facilitating the offense, but can get buckets when it was time to score. Used his strength to get to the basket and could knock down jumpers. He was always under control.
Cartez Crook-Jones 6’4″ Grandview: A physically chiseled power forward who had the strength and athleticism to hold his own against much bigger players. He displayed some good footwork and a nice touch around the basket. He also had some moments where he could just explode around the basket and dunk in traffic.
Ezekiel Lopes 6’0″ Bishop Miege (KS): An energetic combo guard who had a flair for making big plays for his team down the stretch of games. Kid can slash to the basket and get buckets through contact with any fear. He was also an active defender as well.
Riley Nuss 6’0″ Barstow: An excellent 3-point shooter who kept opposing teams honest with his ability to stretch the floor. He did a nice job of shooting it off the catch. He also was a solid ball handler who took care of the ball.
