This group also has a pair of Noblesville players as well and they seemed to help in a couple areas. Guys like Hayden Crowder and Corby Mertens helped on the wing as well as Packard Rozzi. Nolan Ginter gave them enough size and skill inside to keep the opposing bigs honest. Jarrett Hufferd did well running this team and fit into the style of the team really well. They won’t blow past you but were going to out-shoot teams and play defense.
Best Player: Avon wing Hayden Crowder was one of the better players on this team this season and when I got to see him he had a few really solid games. He’s a guy that will focus on perimeter jumpers first but then can fall into so nice attacks off the bounce. He has some things to clean up but he’s solid right now and starting to be in line for a solid senior season. Crowder picked up an offer already and has other in-state interest developing.
Players To Watch: There are a few guys I liked for this but Nolan Ginter could be a possible player under-the-radar. At Noblesville, they don’t have a ton of size they typically player seniors over underclassmen so he could be in line for minutes. He looked like a guy that could have a chance to play and be effective. I liked his scoring in the post with hooks and being a little physical. Not the tallest guy but plays a little bigger.
