The 6’1″ Crockett is one of the top scoring guards in the St. Louis area. He was one of the top players at the Lindenwood Team Camp in June and the coaching staff continued to track his progress for the next month until he gave his commitment on Tuesday.
“When I came on campus, the coaching staff made me feel like one of the family,” Crockett said. “I feel like I was a part of the program. They have a good academic program, especially in Sports Management which will be my major.”
Crockett enjoyed an excellent all-around junior year at University City, where he averaged 20.5 points a game. He also averaged 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals a game. He shot 57 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3-point range in leading the Lions to a 16-12 record and a berth in the Class 4, District 5 championship game.
Crockett is playing this summer with the Rocktown Elite 17U team out of St. Louis. This weekend, Crockett will get a chance to play at his future college as his Rocktown team will be playing in the Adidas Three Stripes Tournament at Lindenwood.
