A long, athletic 6-foot-3, shooting guard, Agbaji picked up his first offer last week from Miami of Ohio.
He was a first-team All-Suburban White Conference performer this past season for Oak Park, but began to saw his stock rise this summer playing for the Kansas City Keys.
“This was my first time playing with the team and the coach,” Agbaji said. “My coach wanted me to change my game and add more aspects to it for the summer so we worked hard personally on my game.”
Ochai Agbaji says several other schools have shown interest as well but says he’s not sure they are close to offering at this point.
“I would describe my game as being a shooter but I can also attack hard and put it on the floor and get to the hole,” Agbaji said.
He recently showed off those skills in Kansas City at the Jayhawk Summer Finale, able to take his man off the bounce and all the way to the rim, or pull-up off the bounce. And, Agbaji always seemed to play under control.
“I’ve been shooting the ball more confident this summer than I ever have and I think that it opens up the floor for me,” he says. “I like to model my play like Kevin Durant and a bit of James Harden.”
