Wright, a 6-foot-3 forward with a versatile skill set, says he brings a physical brand of basketball to the court with the ability to get to the rim and knock down perimeter jumpers who says he has been focusing more on defense and getting out in transition during the offseason.
Wright says he likes to base his game off of Minnesota Timberwolves’ guard Zach LaVine and Golden State Warriors’ forward Draymond Green.
“When I’m in the game the intensity builds up and the tempo gets faster,” he says.
Although he hasn’t yet head from any coaches, Wright says he has visited with several scouts following games this summer.
Wright has teamed up this summer with fellow Hogan Prep 2018 point guard Damien Daniels to form a dangerous 1-2, inside-outside punch for KC Gamespeed.
“My spring and summer with Gamespeed was an awesome experience,” he said. “For only my second year it was nice.”
