He finishes well on the interior, rebounds well, and has a good feel for the game. Sunday some major news broke with him as he decommitted from Missouri where he was slated to play baseball. We have the latest on his decision.
Smith is now open to playing either baseball or basketball at the next level. We caught up with him at the NY2LA Sports Summer Jam to get an update on his situation. What be important in a school for him if he decides to play basketball in college?
“Developing me to get me to be the best player I can be. Good education and good coaching.”
The Edwardsville guard is running with Jets-Ramey United on the circuit. He spoke about July.
“It is going good. I am getting noticed a lot more. I think I was a sleeper. I am attacking the rim and finding my teammates. Making open shots.”
What does he see as the strengths of his game?
“It get to the basket well and find open teammates. Rebound and do everything for my team.”
Expect a lot of in-state programs to jump in the mix for Smith.
