Ochai Agbaji 6’3″ KC Keys Elite (Oak Park): Excellent wing player with good size and good length who can score in a variety of ways. Agbaji was very good in transition where he was a tremendous finisher. He has good handles and a number of good moves off the bounce to create offense. Agbaji has a solid mid-range game and can also score from long distance. Just a very skilled and versatile scorer.
Isaac Weider 6’3″ Gateway (Vienna): Talented offensive player who has the ability to score in bunches. In one pool play game, he scored 10 consecutive points down the stretch to help his team stave off a late rally. He can shoot the ball from well beyond the 3-point line with extreme confidence. Weider also has a nice spin move in the lane to get himself a layup or a floater. Has an old-school feel for offensive basketball.
Daryl Wright 6’4″ KC Game Speed (Hogan Prep): A matchup problem at forward with his size and versatile skills. On a small team, he plays the power forward and holds his own in the post against big players, but causes them problems with his ability to score off the bounce and knock down jumpers. He is also strong in the post and can really operate on the baseline.
Max Titus 6’2″ KC Flight (Truman): An impressive wing player with good size and the ability to stroke it from downtown. Moves well without the ball and is a very good 3-point shooter off the catch. One of the top scorers on his team. Works well at getting to the open spots. Solid ball handler.
Deng Bol 6’1″ Next Level Elite (North Kansas City): A long and lean wing player who has the uncanny ability to get to the basket and score. He can maneuver his body between the smallest seams to get off shots at many different angles. Has good handles and is very creative with the ball.
Mason Taylor 6’3″ KC Run GMC (Grandview): A long and lean wing player who has a smooth set of handles and can score off the dribble. He has a nice pull up game from the mid-range area. He always seems to be under control. Helped his team to the tournament championship.
Dominic Mitchell 6’3″ St. Louis Prospects (St. Mary’s): An old school combo forward who has the post moves of a much bigger player and the ability to score off the dribble and make jumpers. Does a nice job of using his strong body as well as his arsenal of shakes, shimmies and spins to get buckets in a number of ways.
A.J. Somer 6’5″ Gateway (Parkway South): A versatile combo forward who can battle inside or step outside and make shots on the perimeter. He moves well without the ball and can knock down mid range jumpers from the high post. Can also step out and shoot 3-pointers off the catch. His size and versatility enable him to play multiple positions.
Davis Aufrembrink 6’1″ Missouri Combat (CBC): In the one game I watched, he scored 17 points and continued his fine 3-point shooting on the grassroots circuit. With a good point guard and some solid post players, Aufrembrink does an excellent job of moving and getting himself open to unleash his 3-point barrage.
Trae Meny 6’5″ Missouri Hustle (Battle): Young wing player with excellent size and the ability to knock down 3-pointers from well beyond the arc. With his size, he also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket and draw fouls. He will be even to finish even better as he continues to get stronger.
