Clay Gayman 6’5″ Gateway (Nevada): Regardless of the competition, Gayman continues to produce at a high level. Even in their lone loss to a loaded Arkansas Hawks team, Gayman put up 21 points, 10 rebounds and three dunks against a big and talented front line. He is a picture of constant activity around the basket with his low post scoring and offensive rebounding. He supplements his post play with excellent shooting from the perimeter.
Cecil Lee 6’6″ KC Pacers Blue (Park Hill): Lee was one of the best frontcourt defenders in the tournament. In a bracket play victory over the SEMO Storm, Lee blocked six shots. His length and excellent timing make him an excellent shot blocker. On offense, Lee is a very good 3-point shooter off the pick and pop. He’s a nice Stretch 4 who can protect the rim on defense.
Yahuza Rasas 6’6″ St. Louis Prospects (St. Mary’s): He enjoyed some excellent offensive moments during the weekend. He scored on a put back at the buzzer to beat a good Pocket City team. He also scored 10 points during a key stretch to rally the Prospects past the SEMO Bulls in bracket play. He posted up well inside and scored on turnaround jumpers and jump hooks. Very active on both ends.
Cameron Hester 6’7″ SEMO Storm (Jackson): He is big, strong physical post player with a meat and potatoes game. He was very tough around the basket as a scorer with both hands. He posted up strong and established excellent position. He also threw down a couple of nice dunks in traffic in the half court offense. Very tough. Very productive player.
Darryl Wright 6’4″ KC Game Speed (Hogan Prep): He poses matchup problems as the lone forward in a lineup full of small guards. He is usually matched up with a bigger player and he used his ball handling to score off the bounce, plus he has the ability to shoot 3-pointers. In close games, he showed the ability to score clutch buckets on some tough drives.
Joe Reese 6’8″ SEMO Bulls (Vashon): A long, lanky combo forward who has a versatile skill set. He is still developing, but he shows flashes of someone who could be an excellent prospect. He will handle the ball and he can step out and shoot the 3-pointer. Reese is a good offensive rebounder and he can fill the lane on the fast break. If he can put it all together, the Division I schools will come a-knocking.
Matt Leritz 6’5″ St. Louis Prospects (SLUH): He displayed his versatile set of skills, which makes him an effective forward. He can score in the post, with good moves in the paint and a nice shooting touch. Matt also knocked down several 3-pointers off dribble penetration and the pick-and-pop. He will surprise you with a slam dunk in transition. Very solid offensive player.
Nathan Bax 6’6″ Missouri Combat (Helias): A very solid power forward who is an active scorer and rebounder. He can finish in the paint and he has the ability to step out and make 15 footers from the high post.
Jak Kitchens 6’6″ Mid Mo Elite (New Bloomfield): Small school player who impressed with his ability to score inside against players with more recognition. He has a nice touch around the basket and can step out on the perimeter and shoot it. I really like his ability to pass the ball out of double teams. He is a very unselfish player.
Devonte Jeffries 6’2″ St. Louis Ballers (Hazelwood Central): An undersized power forward who can hold his own in the paint with his physical strength and toughness. He has the ability to score and grab his share of offensive boards. He is tough to move when he establishes position inside for a post move or rebound.
