Jarvarcus Word 5’8″ (New Madrid Central): Small guard who plays at a high rate of speed. Used a quick first step to get in the lane against either zones or man-to-man defenses. Does a nice job of finishing at the basket. Knocked down some 3-pointers as well. Makes him difficult to guard.
Preston Weubker 6’0″ (Advance): Really shot the ball well throughout the day. In his first game against Cape Notre Dame, he opened up with six consecutive 3-pointers. He finished the game making eight of 12 from long distance. Very impressive. He made treys off the catch and off the dribble. Handles the ball well and plays hard on the defensive end.
Blake Bauwens 5’11” (Cape Notre Dame): An impressive 3-point shooter with great range. Made a 30-footer at the buzzer to send one game into overtime. He also did a nice job getting to the basket and getting buckets off the drive, an improved part of his game. Does most of the ball handling for his team. A good leader.
Zyman Langley 5’9″ (Thayer): A quick, nifty ball handler who plays with a lot of confidence. Beat defenders off the dribble throughout the day to create offense. Scored well at the basket in the land of the giants and knocked down several pull up jumpers. Plays with good pace.
Craig Beasley 6’0″ (New Madrid Central): An excellent role player who did a little bit of everything. Strong bodied kid who defended well and was active all over the court. Scored off cuts and offensive rebounds and defended several positions. Played hard and was very productive. A good all-purpose player.
