Chargois saw his first action of the spring with Team Griffin on the Nike EYBL circuit in April. He picked up interest from a number of schools through the first two live periods.
One school that pulled the trigger offering Chargois was Colorado. Recently, Chargois took an unofficial visit to Colorado. He was very impressed with the Colorado basketball program.
“The facilities they had were really nice,” Chargois said. “I was impressed with their campus and the layout of the school.”
Chargois has great respects for Colorado Head Coach Tad Boyle. He has built a strong relationship with Boyle and the staff since they offered him in April.
“Coach Boyle is upfront and tells you how it is.” Chargois said. “My family and Coach Boyle watched tape of there offense and how they run it. I like how they utilize there bigs. Everybody can pass and shoot”
Chargois has seven offers from Division I programs. Colorado is the biggest offer Chargois currently holds. Schools who have offered include: Colorado, Arkansas Little Rock, Tulsa, Oral Roberts, UTSA, UAB and Arlington. Chargois was offered by Oklahoma State by the previous staff, but has not been offered by Head Coach Brad Underwood’s staff.
He has the chance to receive more interest from Division I programs with good performances during the July live periods. Chargois is planning a couple of visits in August to Big 12 programs.
“After July ends I am planning to go up to Kansas State and Oklahoma State.”
Ethan Chargois will be playing on the Nike Circuit with Team Griffin July 6th-10th, The GASO in Dallas July 14th-17th and the final live period July July 21-24 at the Sunflower Classic.
