“I thought we had good tournaments in Minneapolis, Denver and Omaha,” Devin said of his time with the Attack. “We played well in all of the them. We ran into some tough teams in all of the tournaments and it was a lot of fun and good experience to play against some great players.”
After a 6-15 season with the Brookings Bobcats over the winter Coughlin is enjoying competing with an Attack team that has been a tough out in the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza, Mile High Classic, and Memorial Day event in Omaha a couple weekends back.
“The SD Attack is a great team to play for with great coaching and a fun group of guys,” Devin said. “I look forward to hitting the road again in July.
“This summer I always want to improve the different ways I can score. I’ve been working a lot off the dribble, in the paint and on threes. I think my defense is pretty solid and I like running the floor and getting on the boards.”
Devin is an active player that also has a nice degree of skill. That can be said in two sports as he is also a gridiron standout for the Bobcats. There are several college athletic programs in the South Dakota area talking to Devin about camps so they can see him compete and evaluate him for a potential college athletic future.
“I’ve had communication with a number of schools for football and basketball,” said Devin. “I will be making some visits and attending some camps this summer. I am not completely certain about what major to pursue but I am interested in some areas of business or healthcare.”
