“My top individual moment would have to be reaching my 1,000th point milestone,” said Hanson about his year individually. “A couple top team moments would be competing at a high level in the district and being the runner ups in the district tournament.”
Stanley beat Divide County and Power Lake before losing to Kenmare for two scores in that district final. And big things are expected going forward.
“Things are looking good for this upcoming season,” Wyatt said. “We lose a ton of leadership from our seniors, but bring back many guys that have played good minutes and have experience at the varsity level.
“As a group we need to get better at communicating together on defense as a unit. We also need to move the ball better and develop a flow together on offense.”
Wyatt and some of his Stanley teammates are playing as a team in some tournaments this spring and summer with the North Dakota Cougars.
“Spring ball has been going great so far this spring,” Wyatt said. “We are competing hard while playing some good teams. Some good experiences include learning how to deal with the next level and more elite competition, as well as learning to adjust to the faster pace.”
What does Hanson need to do to improve?
“I need to work at becoming a better defender and being in better positions to rebound. I also need to improve my consistency from behind the three point arc.”
Hanson wants to play at the next level and has one idea in terms of what he is looking at in terms of a future.
“I haven’t put too much thought into it just yet,” said Hanson about a college future. “However, I would like to play somewhere. Education wise I am leaning toward something in the agricultural field.”
