*The SEMO Bulls 15U won the championship at the King of the Delta Tournament in Forrest City, AR. The Bulls were led by 6’3″ forward Dominique Hardimon (Poplar Bluff), who averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds a game in the tournament. Point guard Dez Tipler (East Prarie) also enjoyed an excellent tournament in Arkansas.
The Bulls 17U team advanced to the championship game at the King of the Delta, where they finished second. Wesley Sharp, a 6’6″ 2017 forward from Ellington, averaged 18 points and eight rebounds. The Bulls 16U team played up in the 17U tournament and advanced to the Final Four.
*The St. Louis Eagles 16U advanced to the Final Four of the Nike Memorial Davis Classic in Atlanta. The Eagles finished the weekend with a 4-2 record. 2018 small forward Karrington Davis (Chaminade) enjoyed a breakout weekend for the Eagles. The 6’5″ Davis is a excellent athlete with a smooth shooting stroke from the mid-range and beyond the 3-point line.
*The MoKan Elite 14U team brought home a championship in the Gold Division in Atlanta.
*The Gateway Athletic Club competed at the Adidas Three Stripes Tournament in Louisville, KY. The 16U lost their first three games in Super Pool play, but battled back with three consecutive victories in bracket play to advanced to the championship game, where they were defeated by the George Hill All-Stars 51-48.
Gateway’s 17U went 4-2 in Louisville and advanced to the Final Four. The Gateway 15U team finished with a 5-1 record and advanced all the way to the championship game before losing to the Louisville Rising Stars. 2019 guards Jesse Little (Soldan) and Evan Aselson (DeSmet) enjoyed excellent weekends shooting the basketball. 6’4″ 2019 Luther Taylor (Whitfield) had an active weekend scoring and rebounding around the basket.
*The Jets-Ramey United 16U team advanced to the Final Four of the Adidas Gauntlet Chicago Classic. The finished the weekend with a 5-2 record with standout performances from several players. 6’7″ 2018 Gaven Pinkley (Hillsboro) had 26 points in a 77-64 victory over Team Manimal. 6’6″ 2018 Leon Perry (Confluence Academy) contributed 11 points and 15 rebounds in the victory. 2018 G Torrence Watson (Whitfield) had 18 points in a 71-48 victory over the Milwaukee Rebels in the Elite Eight. The 16Us have already qualified for the Gauntlet Finale in South Carolina in July. The Jets-Ramey 17U team advanced to the championship game of the Bronze Division.
*KC Run GMC completed its final session at the Under Armour Association with a 1-2 record. Ironically, all three of their games ended up in two-point decisions. Run GMC finished regular-season play with a 9-3 record and will qualify for the UAA Nationals in July. The 16U dropped four tough games by an average margin of four points to fall to 6-6 in UAA play. 2018 forward Tyrese Davis (Grandview) averaged 12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds to lead the 16U squad. The 15U team finished the season with a perfect 8-0 record.
