Prep Hoops Oklahoma released the 2018 Rankings earlier this month. Today, Prep Hoops begins to break down the 2018 Class with analysis on each player. For analysis on players ranked 1-10 in the 2018 Class look below.
| Keyshawn | Embery | 6’3″ | PG | Midwest City | Oklahoma Run PWP | Embery is a combo guard with the ability to score in all three phases of the game. He plays tough defense and is a great competitor on the court. His hard work has paid off and it shows playing up on the 17U for Oklahoma Run PWP on the UA Circuit. |
| Trey | Hopkins | 6’4″ | SG | Carl Albert | Oklahoma Run PWP | Hopkins is a freak athlete at the two with a smooth jumper. He has grown to a little over 6’4″ and improved skill wise in many phases of his game. Hopkins is a high flyer with the skills to change a game in a hurry. Hopkins has widened the gap between #2 and #3 in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. |
| Adokiye | Iyaye | 6’3″ | SG | Piedmont | Team Griffin | Iyaye is a combo guard that doesn’t have to have the rock in his hands to have an effect on the game. He has flown under the radar for quite some time, but expect him to breakout this summer. |
| Jaycson | Bereal | 6’7″ | SF | Booker T. Washington | Oklahoma Run PWP | Bereal is argueably the most athletic player in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. He has improved his ball handling skills allowing him to attack the rim with ease. Bereal must continue to work on his outside and mid-range jumper to take his game to the next level. On Defense he has the height and athleticism to block or alter most shots around the rim. Bereal is the most improved player over the past year in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. |
| David | Ward | 6’5″ | SG | Webster | Oklahoma Run PWP | Ward is starting to find his game as we head into the summer. He is a shooting guard with deep range from behind the arc. At 6’5″ with a good physical build Ward has learned most opponents struggle guarding him when he attacks the rim. Ward has to shoot the three more consistent to take his game to another level. |
| Caleb | Huffman | 6’4″ | PG | Broken Arrow | Oklahoma Run PWP | Huffman is a really skilled athletic Point Guard with great height. He is a player that will have you in awe one moment and shaking your head the next moment. Huffman has all the physical traits you could look for in a Point Guard. He needs to continue to work on his decision making at the Point. When Huffman is locked in it is very difficult to guard him. |
| Jalen | Redmond | 6’5″ | SF | Midwest City | Oklahoma Run PWP | If Redmond was 6’7″ he would easily be in the top 3 in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. He is very tough, athletic, physical, and has a motor that is always running at 110 mph. Redmond will garner Divsion I looks despite his size because of his quickness which allows him to defend and score in the paint against taller bigs. |
| Colt | Savage | 6’3″ | PG | Sand Springs | Oklahoma Run PWP Select | Savage has had a huge spring with Oklahoma Run PWP Select 17U. He is a legit 6’5 with great vision, high basketball IQ, and a nice jumper. Savage is one of the more overlooked players in the 2018 Oklahoma Class. |
| Mason | Harrell | 5’7” | PG | Carl Albert | Team Griffin | Harrell is undersized at the Point, but that has not slowed him down in Oklahoma. This spring Harrell played on the Nike EYBL Circuit going against the best across the country. Size will be a question always for Divison I schools, but they will never question his ability to be a difference maker with his high IQ, great vision, good command, and ability to drive and finish around the basket. |
| Josh | Procter | 6’3″ | SG | Owasso | Oklahoma Run PWP | Procter will end up being a football star, but has shined on the court as well. He is a good athlete that excels at driving to the rim and finishing through contact. Procter plays tough on ball defense. |
