A strong, physical 6-foot-2 guard, Dulley was Lincoln’s leading scorer this past season at 17 points per game and says he brings a lot of different skills to the basketball court.
“I’m a combo guard,” he said. “I can shoot the ball well, and get to the rim. Very versatile.”
Lincoln Prep head coach Sean Pearson said Dulley is returning from an injury, but is working his way back into shape and has taken on a leadership role with the Tigers.
“(Dulley) is one of our better players,” Pearson said. “He was injured (early in the season) so is really just now starting to get back into shape. He has been playing well and has started to step up and be vocal and take on a leadership role.”
Dulley spent the offseason competing for NDaGymKC and says he has started to draw the attention of college coaches.
“It’s been fun so far, but I feel we can compete a little better than what we are doing,” he said. “This summer I am working on my overall conditioning, and athleticism. I am also working on being more aggressive with my weak hand.”
Although he doesn’t currently hold any offers, Dulley’s recruiting has been picking up this winter and he has heard most recently from Mizzou and Missouri State, and has also drawn interest from Creighton, Iowa and a host of others.
Dulley said the biggest influence on his game has been his father.
“He’s at pretty much every game, and pushes me too my limits,” Dulley said. “I would also say my coach, he’s invested a lot of time in helping my game as well.”
On the court, Dulley said he looks up to the Lakers’ Kobe Bryant.
” Simply because of his confidence towards his own game,” he said. “This is something I do also, confidence is everything.”
