ECI has had a tough start but things figure to improve in the SPTS this weekend and next weekend.
“I feel like the first 2-3 weeks have been games where we’re learning to play together better and what our roles are on the team and what we need to do in order to succeed,“ Engg said.
“All in all it’s been us getting the feel of playing together again.”
Engg wants his team to improve but he has some individual things he would like to do better as well.
“My main focus for improvement is my ball handling. Its gotten a lot better through the winter and to now but I feel like there’s still room for improvement. I’d like to improve my explosiveness and shooting as well.
“My biggest goal for the summer is to make as much improvement as I can. I want this summer to be my biggest jump I’ve had yet between seasons. My next goal is to just have fun doing it with my teammates in my last year of AAU basketball.”
Engg has a future to look forward to. He, KyJuan Johnson, and Chandler Albertson have a three-peat they are looking for and then there is college basketball to look into.
“This month I’ve heard from University of Mary, Minot State, University of Sioux Falls, and Northern State University,” Engg said.
