Torrence Watson 6’4″ Jets-Ramey United (Whitfield): One of the top shooting guards prospects in the state, regardless of class. Has excellent size and the ability to score at all three levels. Displayed the ability to take over games for long stretches, especially when his team his struggling. A high-major prospects with offers from Missouri, Saint Louis, Kansas State and Creighton.
Cameron Williams 6’3″ SW ILL Jets (Hazelwood Central): A very pleasant surprise in the tournament. Excellent athlete who was capable of playing all three perimeter positions. Attacks the basket off the dribble and plays well in transition. Was on Central’s junior varsity as a sophomore because of a loaded varsity team. Look for him to be an impact player next season.
Deandre Campbell 5’11” Jets-Ramey United (Parkway Central): A strong, physical guard who excels at either the point or shooting guard positions. Has the ability to score in bunches or can run the show and find open teammates with his excellent court vision. Excellent defender as well.
Malachi Smith 6’3″ SW ILL Jets (Belleville East): Talented wing player with good size and skill level. Won the championship game with an off-balance baseline jumper at the buzzer. Handled the ball quite a bit in the tournament and did a nice job knocking down mid-range jumpers.
Austin Thompson 6’1″ Missouri Impact 17U (MICDS): Intelligent point guard who is starting to develop his offensive chops. Very strong on the dribble with the ability to get in the lane and finish or find open teammates. Also did a nice job knocking down several mid-range jumpers off the dribble.
Jared Phillips 5’9″ Team Ramey (Cardinal Ritter): One of the toughest competitors in the tournament. A ball-hawking defender who seemed to be all over the court on defense, creating turnovers and transition baskets. Gets in the lane with strength and quickness and displayed the ability to make big shots in tough situations.
Jalen Hodge 6’1″ SW ILL Jets (O’Fallon): A very smooth combo guard who was comfortable at the point or shooting guard. Has a nice lefty stroke from 3-point range, which he displayed on several occasions over the weekend. Good ball handler who can also pass the rock.
Rayonte Childs 5’10” Arch Ryvals (Northwest Academy): A very slick point guard who plays with a lot of quickness and savvy. He moves the ball well in transition and has the ability to shoot the 3-pointer. Very capable floor general in an up-tempo offense.
Brenden Gillmann 6’3″ Jets-Ramey United (Oakville): An excellent 3-point shooter with good size and good a feel for the game. On a team of talented guards, he really spaces the floor with his ability to shoot it from deep.
Kyle Younge 5’10” Team Ramey (Riverview Gardens): A fearless scoring point guard who plays with a lot of drive and a high motor. Doesn’t mind going inside the lane amongst the trees. Can also knock down 3-pointers off the catch and off the dribble.
