Cecil Lee 6’6″ KC Pacers (Park Hill): An emerging young power forward with tremendous wing span which enables him to be an excellent shot blocker. His length and timing help him block shots without fouling. Also displayed the ability to knock down 3-pointers off the catch in the pick and pop. Still developing, but has a substantial up-side if he keeps working.
Mason Fair 6’4″ KC Keys Gold (Raytown): A big-bodied post player who uses his strength and positioning to be an effective offensive player in the lane. Does not possess great athleticism, but gets his share of rebounds and blocked shots because of his length and ability to muscle opposing players. Rebounds out of his area.
Adam Bax 6’6″ Missouri Combat (Helias): A very good post player with a high motor on both ends of the court. Competes for rebounds and is a very good scorer around the basket. Also has the ability to step out and hit the 15 footer off the catch. Will also put it on the floor and drive against opposing post players.
Cartez Crook-Jones 6’4″ KC Keys Gold (Grandview): A fine chiseled athlete who is full of physical strength and explosive leaping ability. Had a couple of highlight-reel dunks during the weekend. Plays with a high motor on both ends of the court. Rebounds well and runs the court and finishes in transition.
Quinan Reaves 6’3″ NDaGym (Lincoln Prep): A long, lanky combo forward who was a match-up problem throughout the tournament. Did a nice job of putting on the floor and slashing to the basket with aggressive drives. Loves to get out on the break and finish in transition.
Darryl Wright 6’4″ KC Game Speed (Hogan Prep): Talented combo forward who did much of his damage working the baseline. Finished well around the basket with strength and athleticism. Did an excellent job of running the court and keeping up with the plethora of speedy guards on his team.
