Since de-committing from Central Florida a little more than a week ago following their head coach changing, Hazen has been hearing from a mix of mid and high major Div. I schools.
The 6-foot-7 power forward has interest from Texas, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Richmond, Davidson and Ball State. The Cardinals have already offered the No. 11 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 200.
“I’ve talked to Vanderbilt and will start to plan a visit there,” Hazen said via text message about the schools he may visit. “Arkansas will be coming up to watch a work out. Will plan an in home visit with Ball State soon.”
The Columbia City power forward offers an array of skills as a stretch wing and forward. He has the ability to step outside and use his length to make an impact on the offensive end and attack the glass.
This is what has coaches interested in the senior with his recruitment open again, but he also is paying attention to the relationship he has with the coaching staff where he commits. It was one of the biggest reasons for him choosing Central Florida and will play an important role this time around, too. He is also looking to people able to contribute quickly.
“Being able to make an impact for the team and being a great (fit) for the team as well are big factors,” Hazen said.
