Ian Torrey 6’4″ (SEMO Bulls): Had an impressive weekend with his combination of size and skill set in a versatile package. Played anywhere on the court. Torrey could post up and score or he could get his offense off the bounce, which made him a matchup problem. He even displayed some knock-down shooting ability from long range.
Tony Chukweumeke 6’10” (Gateway): A big, intriguing prospect with great size and an excellent body. He was an imposing figure in the post on the defensive end with his rebounding and shot blocking. His offensive game is still developing, but he did score on a few power moves off the drop step.
Joe Reece 6’7″ (Gateway): A versatile combo forward with excellent length and skill level of the perimeter. Still a work in progress as he continues to grow and develop his body, but he has the makings of a top prospect at the end of the day. Has a nice stroke from 3-point range and can finish on the break with authority.
Cecil Lee 6’6″ (Pacers): A long, athletic post player who did a nice job playing his role for the tournament champions. Displayed good activity on the boards on both ends and blocked shots. Played with a high motor.
Dawson Dohogne 6’3″ (SEMO Storm): An undersized post player who does an excellent job scoring in the lane against bigger defenders. He has a big body and uses it well to establish position in the post. When he catches the ball, he scored well using a variety of moves.
Matt Leritz 6’5″ (St. Louis Prospects): A versatile Stretch 4 who is an ideal pick and pop player with his ability to shoot the 3-pointer. He also caught the ball in the post and displayed a few nice post moves, especially on the base line. Displayed an effective turnaround jumper in the post.
A.J. Somer 6’5″ (Gateway): Young man who competes hard and plays with a lot of energy. He is very effective around the basket with deceptive moves, but can also knock down perimeter jumpers off the catch and coming off screens.
Kyle Noah 6’4″ (Arch Ryvals): A young, athletic power forward who plays with a lot of explosion and enthusiasm. Threw down a couple of big dunks in transition to get his team going.
Henry Gladson 6’5″ (St. Louis Prospects): A big-bodied post player who had a very effective tournament. Did a good job using his body to seal defenders and get good post position. Has an excellent shooting touch around the basket and can also step out and knock down 15-17 footers.
Cason Suggs 6’6″ (Missouri Impact 17U): A developing young forward who play up at the 17U level during the weekend. He is long and active around the basket. Displayed the ability to knock down mid range jumpers on the baseline and a few corner 3-pointers as well. Will be more effective as he continues to gain physical strength.
