Top Performers: Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase (Uncerclassmen Part 2)
The Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase was held the day after the VHSL state championships at Potomac High School in Dumfries. It featured 55 of the most underrated players in the state, ranging in classes from seniors to freshman. The day included head shots, skill development stations and live games. Earlier this week, we named 8 of the top freshman, sophomore, and junior performers we saw from the event. Below you will find 10 additional underclassmen who we would like to recognize.

Guards
Jordan Adams – Annandale
An all-around guard with good size, Jordan Adams displayed confidence operating on or off the ball, and moved very well to get open. He really got after it defensively, and gave great effort on that end. When he wasn’t making plays for his teammates on the offensive end, he showed the ability to score it from 3 levels.
Josh Campbell – Life Christian
Coming off a productive freshman season, Josh Campbell carried great momentum with him into the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase. He’s a big, skilled guard who can really shoot it. He displayed a high work rate and made alert plays defensively.
Dom Fragala – Champe
Having scored 41 points in a game earlier this season, many are aware that Dom Fragala knows how to put the ball in the basket. What stood out at the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase about him was his play making ability. Fragala has great court awareness and passing skills. He’s also a smart, underrated defender.
Charles Hyman – Potomac
A big, strong guard with a great frame and motor, Charles Hyman hit the boards hard at the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase. He ran the floor hard in transition, and had some really strong finishes at the rim. A great teammate who always seems to be enjoying himself while out on the court, Hyman also had some nice assists at camp.
Anthony Pearson – Osbourn
Anthony Pearson showed a little bit of everything at the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase. He rebounded, scored – both from the perimeter, and in the paint, and assisted teammates with the typical confidence and skill he’s displayed all year. He’s got great size and toughness to go along with a high basketball IQ.
Jamal Washington – Potomac
Coming off a state championship in which he exhibited the ability to do a bit of everything, Jamal Washington did more of the same at the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase. He has great paint getting ability, and is a strong finisher with either hand. He’s also a very good rebounding guard.

Forwards
Zachary Jacobs – Trinity Episcopal
Perhaps the biggest takeaway about Zach Jacobs‘ game at Potomac was the confidence and improvement he continues to display on the perimeter. He can shoot the three, but also was able to attack and finish from the triple threat. The bouncy forward was just named first team all state, and is heading into the AAU season with great momentum.
Antoine Nunnally – Freedom (Woodbridge)
It wasn’t too surprising to see Antoine Nunnally perform well at the Vantage Hoops Spring Showcase. The long, athletic forward was highly productive for his team this season. He ran the floor hard, and showed soft hands along with the ability to finish through contact.
Trejvon McFail – Monacan
An integral piece to Monacan’s state championship, Trejvon McFail has a great motor and feel to go along with a soft touch. His length and mobility gives him great versatility as a defender. He was very active defensively, and did a great job on the glass.
Nana Opoku – Potomac
Nana Opoku seems to get more confident each time he hits the floor. He loves to challenge shots at the rim, which was one of his primary roles on his state championship team. As he continues to grow and add to his improving skill-set, he should continue to make noise as a two way impact player.
