Jacob Gilyard (Barstow, 2017):
A defensive gnat, Gilyard is the engine that makes Barstow go … although he had just seven points against Tolton, he dished out six assists and had six steals. Had 13 points and two assists in a semifinal win over Mt. Grove.
Jeriah Horne (Barstow, 2016):
Horne had a game for the ages against Tolton, scoring 39 points and hauling in 14 boards. He was 15 for 28 from the field, including 4 for 6 from 3 and had seven offensive rebounds. Had a game-high 25 points on 10 for 13 shooting from the field and added eight rebounds and four blocks against Mt. Grove in the semifinals.
Shea Rush (Barstow, 2016):
Son of former five star JaRon Rush, Shea Rush is an athletic wing who will be a preferred walk-on at North Carolina. He had nine points and nine boards in a hard fought loss to Barstow in the championship. In the semifinals, Rush finished with 14 points and eight rebounds in a win over Mt. Grove.
DJ McNew (Mountain Grove, 2016):
Finished with 18 points and eight rebounds in a semifinal loss to Barstow, then added 13 more before fouling out in a win over Whitfield in the third place game. Armed with a solid mid-range game, McNew is a 6-foot-2 guard who averaged 19.8 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds this season. Knocked down 40 3-pointers.
Michael Porter (Tolton, 2017):
Had a huge championship game against Barstow before fouling out in the final minute, finishing with 31 points, 19 rebounds and was 10 for 18 from the field. Had 24 points and 11 rebounds on 11 for 15 shooting against Whitfield before fouling out.
Jontay Porter (Tolton, 2018):
Had 10 points and eight boards and three blocks against Barstow before fouling out. Is a big, athletic 6-foot-10 forward that has a diverse skill set. Is a terrific shot blocker as well. Had 13 points. 11 rebounds and six blocked shots against Whitfield on Thursday before fouling out. Has committed to Washington.
Torrence Watson (Whitfield, 2018):
A 6-foot-4 guard, Watson is at his best attacking the bucket. Had 30 points in a semifinal loss to Tolton while playing in front of Mizzou head coach Kim Anderson, then added 24 points in 19 minutes before fouling out against Mountain Grove in the third place game.
