“My senior season was good,” Davis told PHD. “We had a rough ending, but a very good regular season. The thing I will remember most is winning the conference championship.”
The Arrows went 16-7 overall and while they did lose to eventual state champion in the Regional Qualifier it was a big year of gains for the 6-foot-0/6-foot-1 guard from Watertown.
“I believe I became a better leader, and I feel like I’ve been able to learn how to create space for myself to create for myself and others,” Davis said. “I will continue to get a lot of shots up this off-season. I want to be a better shooter in college, and I also am working on becoming stronger.”
Everything at the high levels is about space. Creating space on one end, taking away space on the other end, that’s the fight in big time basketball and Davis now gets it.
Because he can create space better than most a couple Midwest division two programs are on him hard as is a local D1 that would like to bring him in as a preferred walk-on and go from there.
“I’m hearing the most from Drury, NW Missouri State, and South Dakota State,” Davis told PHD. “I don’t have any visit dates set yet. Hopefully as soon as possible.”
Drury is a division two program in Illinois and NW Missouri State is also a D2 program.
