He’s heard from the Div. I ranks like University of Denver, Div. II at Rollins College and NAIA with Indiana Wesleyan.
Richardson hasn’t received any official offers, but the programs like what he can offer.
“They talk to me about playing the two position and the three,” Richardson said. “They like that I can bring the ball and handle the ball and I can definitely shoot the ball.”
Richardson is one of the better shooters in the state for the junior class. It’s why the 6-foot-5 wing is rated the No. 45 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Top 175. It also is what makes him such an intriguing prospect.
He also isn’t in a rush to make a decision. He took an unofficial visit to Indiana Wesleyan but said he has only just begun to think about when and where he will take visits and where he could attend. He plans to finish out this season, where Lapel plays in the state championship game Saturday for Class 2A, and then see what comes through the AAU season.
“I’m open to any program, just want one that works hard and plays hard on the court,” he said.
